I would like to personally thank everyone who made it to the training session on Saturday August 1st. I think everyone had a good time and we were lucky enough to have a few personal experiences while we were there. I want to thank Chrissy for opening up her wonderful home and allowing us to come in and hold meetings and training sessions there.
Also, i want to welcome our newest members, Erica, Josh, Darla, Steve, and Tyler. They have shown amazing talent and a true passion for the field. We are so excited to have such a solid team and look forward to making it stronger in the near future. They are all a valuable asset and will make our team the strongest it has ever been. Which will allow us to help our client the best.
There is alot of upcoming events and investigations for the team, so please check back for updates, evidence posts, and live video feeds from some possible investigations!
Thanks again

Transient Paranormal Events
by Northeast Oklahoma Research Society on Aug.04, 2009, under Uncategorized
Though I have had several personal experiences prior to joining this field of investigation I recently purchased a home in a fairly new subdivision. This home is 10 years old and i bought the home from the original owners. There is no history of any kind that would predicate this home to have paranormal phenomena. The abstract on the home shows the history of the land prior to the building of the house. For over a century this land was nothing more than pasture, No homes within a half mile of the location. And by all recorded accounts no tragedy or anything has occurred in the location. However since the home was built and by the previous owners own statements strange things have occurred. But it has never been the same incident more than once almost as if more than one entity has come through the location at different times over the 10 year period. Of course this being said there is several documented murders, suicides etc.. That has occurred within about a 1 mile area including a large amount of reports of paranormal incidents from a house that used to be the land owners in the late 1800′s so this could be the origin of any incident that occurred and the fact that not all traumatic events go reported to anyone. But this got me thinking about the chance or transient entities that are not tied to a location or object
Over the years I have often been asked “what makes a house Haunted” and the usual response often suffices. However of during those same years I have often been confronted with people who have endured either short occasional incidents of paranormal activity or have had incidents that occur repeatedly yet are often spread years apart.
I have also been hearing and have investigated at sites that are “new Construction” or homes that have do not have dramatic history that usually accompanies a typical haunting. The titles to these locations show no known incidents that would normally leave a mark on the land or would usually attach a spirit to the land. Of course that is what was documented, there is always a chance of things happening at a location and no one living today would know about it. so that began me checking and researching on a theory of Transient Paranormal events. The theory behind this is that “ghosts” are not always tied to an object or location. In fact it seems inconceivable that ALL ghosts are tied down to one thing or another. This of course being said many investigators often find that paranormal events often cease after “attached” objects are removed from a location or when a family moves from a “haunted” house they are often no longer troubled by the incidents.
But what about the percentage of incidents that come out of no where and last only a short period of time. These often go un-investigated because of the shortness of the duration of the events or the people often ignoring the situation. Many say that they have experienced paranormal events here and there but there seem to be no rhyme or reason behind the incident. There are often no individual ties to a location time, place or conditions when each one happens.
There for it stands to reason that there may be a certain segment of the paranormal that is transient in nature. You often hear about “wandering Souls” and those who are left behind in a state of Limbo left to wander around the lands and whether they realize the house that they walk into is there or not they can appear at location with no other paranormal events preceding them. This seems especially true when you take into account the fact that people who ask for spirits or ghost often get what they asked for and usually not in the way they want it. Does the request for spirits or use of an Ouija board invite transient entities into a location? Or do they wander through the location anytime they see fit. And do they decide to stay in a location if the circumstances are right. These and many more questions begin when a theory such as this is begun. There of course is no hard evidence pointing to this type of phenomena however there is a lot of circumstantial evidence brought by those who witness intermittent paranormal events.
I have begun to document the situations surrounding people who have these intermittent experiences to try and find a common bond between the incidents and have as of yet found nothing that can tie the person, location and experience together. I urge others in the field to listen to the stories of those who chose to talk about incidents such as these and see if anything begins to match. See if there are some commonalities to this theory. As we study all theories presented, the more information we as a society and a field of research are able to collect and document the more this will help us to be able to help those who request our help. I have a feeling that we are missing a large segment of paranormal activity that too often goes under reported. And the fact is that this piece of the paranormal puzzle may help complete the whole picture.
