Undisclosed Residence
by Northeast Oklahoma Research Society on Dec.30, 2009, under Investigations
This was by far the most unusual case that the Northeast Oklahoma Research Society has faced to date. It began with a request for help from the homeowner and family. They had been experiencing a large amount of paranormal activity including noises, full bodied apparitions, vibrating of walls and feelings of oppression including being physically touched. we gathered our team and went to the location as quick as we could.
Upon setup of our equipment our investigators began noticing activity throughout the house. We set up our focus on the areas that have had the most activity reported and set off to see how much of it we could disprove we found the EMF in the location to be flat and even checked Carbon Monoxide levels with a detector which gave no alerts.. we found only one EMF spike and that was located in the bedroom of the residence we found the EMF to be spiking in the 30′s from an Alarm Clock. We then disabled the alarm clock and showed no further spikes in EMF throughout the residence and the property.
We allowed the residence to settle and sent in investigators in two teams of two while the command post observed all DVR and remote cameras we also positioned a wireless microphone int he residence that was monitored by Command. As the investigation got into full swing we began receiving reports of noises in various areas of the house. as we rotated through our investigators the noises continued including the hearing of footsteps on carpet and knocking on the walls. At one point an investigator in the living room observed the leather chair to make a noise as if someone had set in the chair which was directly next to him. one of the family members who was in the house with the investigator began to feel as if something had touched her however nothing was observed around her at the time.
As the investigation continued we had female investigators inside the house. they began an EVP session inside the home and during the time one of our IR motion sensors began to be set off. We noticed that it would go off when the investigators would mention the former owners name. at this time the light went off a total of three times. Due to the frequency we began to check for malfunction in the light and could not recreate the phenomena we placed personnel within few but behind the sensor so that they could not set it off and could not observe any animal or any item that might set the light off. We then began to test whether the radio frequencies were setting it off and we also could not reproduce the incident by radio interference.
The light was set off another two times during this session after the checks were made. During the same session one of our female investigators experienced a pressure on her leg as if something was holding it down at the same time she felt a cold spot some across the area. The pressure then ceased momentarily and then she felt a full force against her chest that pinned her back into the chair and she reported that it felt as if something was reaching into her chest. at this point we noticed the chair to move back slightly on the cameras from the command post. At this point we moved all females out of the house and conituned the investigaiton with male investigators for the last hour.
During the investigation we noticed that most of the activity revolved around females and that when it was just men in the house they would decrease which we found to be consistent with the homeowners reports. For the first time in our history we were able to validate the all of the homeowners claims on the first investigation. typically we may only experience one or two events that were reported to us but in this case we had each reported sound and experience that the homeowners had been dealing with prior to calling us to investigate.
After we completed the investigation we packed up our equipment and began the work of reviewing the hours of recordings that were made. during review we were able to capture the IR motion sensor being set off and we were able to determine that nothing was in the area to set it off. we also captured video of what appears to be a shadow in the master bedroom and numerous EVP’s. We reviewed closely the attack on our investigator and noticed a large light hover above her then travel across her body and towards the ground then a small pulsing light fly across just above her head. However we were able to determine that this was just dust reflecting the IR and were dismissed as coincidence.
Another Investigator found what appears to be a man and a child standing in the master bedroom behind one of our investigators. this image is hard to see and the figures are transparent in nature and we have not been convinced of the legitimacy yet. we are currently in the process of further examining some of the amazing evidence caught at this location. Some are so unbelievable that we are having a hard time trying to believe it ourselves so we have decided to do more in depth analysis of the evidence before releasing anything some may just be mere pixelation so upon further reveiw we will make a determination as to whether any of it is valid as evidence
The Constantine Theater Final Investigation
by Northeast Oklahoma Research Society on Dec.30, 2009, under Investigations
We Began our third and final investigation of the Historic Constantine Theater knowing the areas that we felt were important to have covered. Since we have investigated the location twice before we began to see areas that needed more coverage. So we set out to utilize our equipment with the most efficiency and coverage area.
We really wanted to focus on the balcony and auditorium sections of the location due to some personal incidents that had occurred with our investigators in these locations. on the previous trip one investigator reported seeing the partial apparition of a woman standing in the balcony. Others reported hearing a woman talking and singing throughout the auditorium. We began by setting our equipment throughout the location and hit record. we also decided to attempt to use period music during the set up process to see if it had any effect on the Investigation. This trip we limited communications with the command post and divided our radio frequencies so that investigators in the lower level and basement could communicate with observers in the command post who was observing thee same level. and a different frequency for the upper levels. This helped in removing excess radio traffic from our audio.
There were relatively few personal experiences through out this investigation as the location appeared to be fairly calm most of the night. As we cycled investigators throughout the building we received very few reports of activity. Which is not uncommon during investigations as most of the real evidence is caught during the review but we knew from experience at this location that investigators usually experienced sounds and lights throughout the location.
As the evening wore on some of our most experienced investigators went to the boardroom in the upper level of the theater. while up there there we began to experience and extreme cold spot form in the boardroom near Mr. Constantine’s office We recorded on hand held cameras the effects that occurred to the investigator including the hair on his arm raising only while in the cold spot as well as “goose bumps” raise on the same arm. We noted that as soon as the arm was out of the spot they would disappear. and that the other body parts would not be affected. This occurred and moved around the room for only about 1-2 minutes and then disappeared.
We then began to get reports from investigators stationed in Mr. Constantine office that they could see a dark shadow moving out from the closet. they then felt extreme cold spots on their legs that would come and go throughout the time that they would see the shadows. We had a few more investigators go into the location to see if they could verify the personal experience in the room. after settling in the shadow would appear again. IT was described as being short and dark but no real shape to it. Because of this we began asking questions to see if it could respond. During the question session we began to have reports of feeling touched and having the feeling of pressure on Investigators legs as well as having the shadow come so close to an investigators face that they could not see through it. these personal experiences were also seen by other investigators in the room at the time.
We had set up IR motion lights throughout the location including at the very back of the closet in Mr. Constantine’s Office. Throughout the night the motion sensors were not set off. However during the incidents that were occurring at this time we observed the motion sensor in the back of the closet to be set off twice in the furthest part of the closet. We observed no indication of animal activity and no personnel were near the sensor at the times the light was set off. as quickly as the experiences started the stopped. At this point we decided to conclude our final investigation of the Constantine Theater. We then packed up our equipment and set off to review the 75 hours worth of video and audio that we had recorded that night.
As the evidence was analyzed more will be posted soon
Updates for the Northeast Oklahoma Research Society
by Northeast Oklahoma Research Society on Dec.14, 2009, under Uncategorized
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Northeast Oklahoma Research Society. We look forward to a busy upcoming year. As we already have six or seven investigations lined up for 2010 and many more coming down the pike. This looks to be our biggest year yet.
The Northeast Oklahoma Research Society has been growing steadily and is about to celebrate our four year anniversary next month. Our team has gone through many changes over the years and our members have gained valuable training and experience. We have added several new members to our group that have been working out very well as well as making great contacts and resources in this field. As usual we look forward to working with INsight in 2010. They are a great and professional team and any opportunity to work with them is always an honor.
This coming year we will be working to update our investigations section of our site with more evidence and reports from the investigations as well. We have also begun an independent documentary on paranormal research we will be working on that in between and during investigations this year. and once we have it completed we will be hosting it on our site. as with the movie project we are looking for people who want to be part of the documentary through interviews or production assistance. We plan on interviewing experts in the field as well as clients who are willing to tell their story on camera and even offering a skeptics view of research. The goal of this film is to give an accurate depiction of the field of paranormal research from behind the scenes. so if anyone is interested and if anyone has any ideas please let us know.
As Always we will continue to answer any calls for help in a quick and professional manner. If anyone is having trouble in their home or business and needs assistance or documentation please let us know through our contact us section and an investigator will contact you as soon as possible. and if no contact is made within 8 hours please contact us through e-mail at either st@norsonline.com or dustin@norsonline.com.
